WHY BIND

by Loretta Burk on 2007-12-27 08:55:28 - Email This

WHY BIND?

You want your presentation to be professional.  It keeps your materials organized.  It helps make your presentation valuable to whomever you made the presentation for.

How you choose to cover your presentation can add quality and creativity.  Adding a quality cover and binding tells the recipient of your materials that your information is important.

You can also make your presentation fun, be creative with your covers and binding materials.

Make new employees feel more at ease with a little creativity. Customize your covers.

The first thing a business prospect might see is your presentation materials - make them mirror your business.

Customizing spines either on plastic binding or 3-ring binder makes your materials easy to find on a shelf.  This brings more value to training manuals and/or employee manuals.

HELP WITH HANDOUTS

by Loretta Burk on 2007-06-11 16:54:21 - Email This

Keep the following tips in mind when you create your presentation handouts:

  • Leave room to make notes
  • Use bullet points and verbally fill in the details.
  • Don't follow the presentation word for word
  • Number and highlight key points so they are easy to find in your literature
  • Pause often and repeat the page number you are on so everyone is sure to keep up, especially if they are note taking.
  • Keep the font, headings and margins the same for every page.
  • Label charts and diagrams clearly.

UNBIND YOUR VELOBIND

by Loretta Burk on 2007-05-15 06:56:56 - Email This

I welcome questions.  One question asked was, "how to unbind VeloBinded materials?".

If you have a larger VeloBind machine (V800pro) the machine heats up the pins and melts them to permanently bind the pages.

If you have a smaller machine (V110e) the pins are snapped closed using the Velobind tool.  You can use the same tool to "pop" the pins out and unbind your pages.

The VeloBind spines can now be used again.
